As a recognition of their personal successes, Sarah and Noel were awarded a Bene Merenti and STARS award by the Societies Guild respectively.

Rory and Mairéad served as the Vice Chairperson & Hospital Liaison Officer of the Surgeon Noonan Society the following year, with Jack and Sarah joining them on the summer elective to Africa.

Noel was later elected as Medicine and Health Representative of the Students Union, and intercalated a Bachelors of Neuroscience degree in the same year.
Cian, a grandson of former UCC President Tadhg Ó Ciardha (1978-1988), earned a Masters degree in Public Health and Epidemiology in the same fashion. He also collected the PF Fitzpatrick Prize in Epidemiology and Public Health in this year.

Aoife was awarded The Certificate in Foundations in Medicine AnatBioPhys Year 1 for finishing second in her class that year.

Cian is also a first cousin once-removed of 1991/92 MedSoc Auditor, Mr. Paul Hegarty
